Why should you work with me?
I taught for 16 years as a maths teacher including 11 years as head of maths in a variety of secondary schools.
I’m passionate about empowering others, in particular those who have low confidence in their own maths skills, and I strongly believe that when parents are involved in their child’s learning everyone benefits.
As an online maths tutor for the last 4 years, I have worked with many students who have different levels of confidence, bringing my magical touch to the lessons so that they feel that they can do maths.
After founding Skills4Parents 2 years ago, I set up a free facebook group ‘Education Support 4 Parents’ to give parents support and the tools that they need to help their children.
Through the Foundations 4 Homework course, I will teach you how I gets results with my students. This is a practical course with actionable strategies that are focused on your situation.
You’ll have insights into your child so that you understand where you and they differ, and what you can do at home to help them.
You are given strategies that will help with all homework, not just Maths.
All teaching is live calls on zoom so that you are able to ask questions and get input into your situation, and you can be wearing your slippers too!
On top of the teaching you get two 1:1 sessions with me, to break through any challenges and gain clarity on situations.

Liz’s ‘magic spread sheet’ was my key revision tool throughout my GCSE revision. It enables you to practice exam style questions and rate yourself on confidence so that you can understand better where to focus your revision. With Liz’s help and completing this spreadsheet I managed to go from a grade 5 to a grade 8 in under a year. When will the live sessions be?
A poll will be taken of participants to find the best time for all. However, all sessions will be recorded and will be accessible in the members area.
Do I have to have a certain level of maths?
No! This course is designed for everyone, even those with basic knowledge. Everyone is welcome here.
What if I don't have time to do work in between sessions?
We know that parents are busy people and the activities that are given will be practical ones to help which can be done at any time. You do not need to do them by the following week, but you are encouraged to do so where possible so that you can get help if needed.
How long will I have access to the materials for?
You have lifetime access to the members area, and the materials will remain there after the course’s live delivery has finished.
The Small Print (Terms and Conditions)
Monthly payments will commence 35 days after purchase and must be paid on time or your access will be revoked
Should a session be cancelled due to circumstances outside of Skills Parents control, we will endeavour to provide a rescheduled session.
Should you wish to cancel your place, Skills4Parents will issue a refund up to 2 weeks after the first session. If you cancel after the first two weeks you will need to pay for all of the sessions up to the week of cancellation.
No guarantees are made about the effectiveness of the course, it is up to you to put the strategies into place and use the course to its full effect.
The two 1:1 calls with Liz are subject to you finding a mutually available time and must be used within 6 weeks of the end of the course.
